Carbon Black for printing ink

Furnace carbon blacks are mainly used for printing inks, as this manufacturing process offers the most variation possibilities in terms of primary particles, surface and structure. This means that a suitable carbon black grade is available for almost every application. The pigment carbon blacks produced by the furnace process are often characterized by low structure values, which leads to a desired gloss of the formulation. As in the field of plastics, carbon blacks with low PAH values and elemental impurities are also used.
